Hi There!
When you lose visibility of your goals, your dreams die.
This quote by Michael Hyatt reminds us how important it is to keep our goals visible.
When we see our goals frequently, they remind us, motivate us, and inspire us to take action.
When we lose sight of our goals, we lose focus and get busy with the trivial.
Make it a habit to look at your goals every day - if they really matter to you.
Now on to 5 Ideas To Unleash Your Leadership and Career This Week…

When Slowing Down Helps You Move Faster
"raw speed kills. Sometimes you have to tap the brakes and slow down to ultimately move faster"
In our constant obsession with speed, we find it difficult to see and accept that sometimes, to move fast, we have to slow down.
In this article, Art Petty reminds readers of the times when slowing down helps you move faster. Some examples of situations in which leaders are advised to slow down include problem-solving, assessing decision-making quality, and not charging ahead unless the mission parameters are clear.
For most of us, it is almost a year since we started working from home. This arrangement has several advantages - saving commute time, spending time with (having meals with) family, not having to be stuck in traffic, etc to name a few.
It also has several downsides.
- People are spending longer hours on office work
- Work/life boundaries have eroded, and constantly encroaching into each other
- Lack of physical contact with people except with your own family
But perhaps most importantly, it has disrupted the opportunity to build, engage and maintain networks.
In theory, this should be possible to do virtually. In practice, with so many calls and video-conferences, fatigue has set in, and it is very difficult to motivate oneself to make a few more calls or join another video-conference.
Take stock of how you've been engaging and growing your network. If this is something you have been neglecting, you should set yourself some goals in this area.
Or better still, build some habits that will strengthen your networking efforts.
Until next time
